EALC is pleased to announce that Professor Jamie Newhard and Professor Ji-Eun Lee have been selected to receive 2026 Outstanding Faculty Awards from the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC).

Both professors were chosen based on their exceptional commitment to graduate student success, including their work in fostering a strong sense of community, building meaningful mentoring relationships, and advocating on behalf of graduate students. Each has served as Director of Graduate Study in East Asian Languages and Cultures and has played a vital role in helping our students thrive throughout their programs.
